Pre-service Teachers’ Perceptions and Their Professional Preparation Levels for Multicultural Education: Implications for Teacher Education Curricula

Purpose: This study examines pre-service teachers’ perceptions and their professional preparation levels for multicultural education.
 Design/Methodology/Approach: In accordance with the research problems, this was conducted using a mixed method partial sequential equal status design. quantitative part, 381 teachers were surveyed Multicultural Perception Scale (MPC) to assess perspectives on education. qualitative 20 interviewed individually determine of Findings: The findings showed that have moderate level perception Pre-service enrolled in Primary Education program higher education than other teacher programs. Furthermore, there is no significant difference between grades. On hand, it appears male significantly lower female teachers. are observed emphasize terms "diversity, interaction, togetherness" when defining education, according study. addition, they emphasized interactions international students, program's course content, extracurricular activities light regarding contribution opportunities enhancing Examining recommendations evident more activities, school experience, observation recommended. Another recommendation highlighted addition program.
